(11,252 posts)24. I had a Malamute that would sooner die than not run.
We would take her out on a levy next to the Mississippi River, and she would run back and forth out there for an hour, and longer if we let her. She would turn herself completely inside out if you even mentioned the word "run". She knew what it was, and she wanted to do it!
It's the breed type. It's what they love and were born to do. They are wonderful animals.
