We cannot ever take anything for granted. But the population growth is clearly in the DC area, and this is a lot more Democratic than the rest of the state. So I think that shift already was moving things our direction. Unless there is a big disparity in candidates (Presidential and Senators), this should be at least deep, deep purple going forward. The Congressional delegation and the state legislature is a different matter.
