7. This could have huge consequences on 2016 election (and maybe 2014)

Virginia has been one of the states trying electoral dirty tricks. McAuliffe should be able to completely shut that down even without a blue legislature. This could take VA out of the swing state category altogether. If VA had not been considered in play down the stretch in 2012, the press would not have been able to play that out as a close horse race.

If we can solidify WI, OH, PA, and MI, there will simply be no way for a Republican to win the WH unless there is a huge disparity in the quality of candidates.
