Yeah, the TPP is scheduled to be finished this year and the US is applying a lot of pressure. However, there's pushback in several countries, and China is also on the sidelines working against it. The Obama admin will need fast-track, and hasn't gotten that yet. I don't know whether the question to get it formally stands & what its status is, tbh.

So the TTIP is much behind the TPP, in principle. Except, in that case, there are only two partners (given that the EU countries have unfortunately mandated the commission to negotiate) so it may proceed much faster. Karel De Gucht, EU commissioner, is dying to get it finished before elections next year.

Yep, will continue posting about it, anything and everything. So far, there's much, much more on the TPP - there has been a leaked draft of the TTIP negotiation framework, but none of the actual texts. That makes all the resistance of the "could" type, and there's very very little of it. Unions for example don't even seem to have picked it up at all, and they're supposed to be strong here.
