Star members at DU3 are posters who have purchased a membership, either through a one-time payment or through a monthly payment. Donor status from DU2 is carried forward, so you're a star member for a year from the date of your last DU2 donation.

Now, I'm going to lock the thread for being off topic in GD. Please repost in H&M if you want to continue the discussion.
