(1,451 posts)And you have those who think this is a joke. Pontiac, MI got a Emergency Financial Manager. they went from 3000 public employees down to 6. The work of those public employees was contracted out to Republican businesses. Coincidence, maybe. Pontiac Silverdome sold for only half million dollars. Valued at much, much more. In every city they have evaporated every city asset available. While they are in the streets acting like fools, they are having a fire sale. And a convict leasing strategy that won't quit. In every way an Emergency financial Manager is UNCONSTITIONAL. And now that they think its only those people, guess who noticed that the downfall of Detroit mean it affects their tax base also. The neighboring Suburbs, that have workers in their community who work right here in the city of Detroit. Or who have retired from the city. All I can say is Welcome to the Party.
