Yes, the manager should be fired, but the employees should be trained. A lot of employees are not comfortable bucking "the customer is always right" mentality of retail. And sadly, it is usually the rude, loud customer that points out how right they are. With a little training, the employees who are on the front line, could be better prepared to deal with situations like this. That's what I would do if I owned a business that deals with the public.
Employee training: an antiquated concept.
