that benefitted them for hundreds of years is going away. They're no longer born on third base, and they are seeing that without that built-in advantage, they are not any better than the next guy, so their identities are all screwed up, and it pisses them off. They have lost an authority their fathers had and it makes them feel powerless. In one sense, they are right. Some of their rights ARE being taken away from them. But they were rights they never should have had to begin with. That's the men.

As for the women? I can't for the life of me understand why any woman would be a Republican. Possibly women who also have fears that they will be required to take responsibility for their own lives? Women who believe that they need the protection of a man in order to make it? Could all Republican women really believe the underlying message of their party that they are second class citizens who should not be allowed self-determination?
