I think more that a few LEOs watch a bit too much TV.
Why do people who arrive in overwhelming numbers; with a massive advantage in weapons; protective equipment, transportation, communication, intelligence, planning, and surprise; have to spray a room with heavy firepower? Who do you think you face?
Is it possible that you might be the cause of the step up in the perceived level of criminal resistance?
Remember it's "all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law". The people on the other side of strange doors aren't even defendants yet. Do not overwhelming suppress Resistance until actual resistance is met.
