What you are saying is that a traditional Democrat can not win, that given the choice between traditional-liberal and neo-conservative political thought this nation will pick the right-wingers. If that is the case then all that is left is the branch of our Party that is most odious, the 3rd-way clowns. And if that's all we have then why not vote for a popular left leaning candidate. Maybe this doesn't suite you but if I have a choice between two right-wingers and one liberal I'm going to take the liberal every time.
