and maybe even after the 2013 elections in some states.


The preclearence is gone but section 2 still exists. It is likely that many of these laws will be dealt with before 2016. There is even a slight (although it is very slight) possibility that a new formula will be in place before 2016.


Even then, most of these laws are in states that (R)s would win anyways. It is unlikely that this change in the law will be enough to hand the White House to an (R) in 2016.


It is to soon to get so worked up about 2016. For all we know Rick Perry will be their nominee.
