1. Why should "lawmakers" want to hear from "the public" on this issue?

lawmakers are NOT the least bit interested in hearing from voters on this issue.
They have clearly ignored our voices on illegal expanding wars, on everything and anything that is good for the people.

Nope, that is not why they are delaying.
