(53,012 posts)for those of us who live in the inner city, guns mean something very different than to those who live elsewhere. We are the victims of gun violence and witness first hands the fallout of gun proliferation. I resent people who live in places like Wyoming working diligently in put more and more guns in circulation in cities like Chicago where they will be used to kill children and other innocent bystanders. Rather than arguing you don't have a right to bear arms, I suggest you not usurp my right to be free of gun violence. That a gun nut thinks he can only be free if me and my neighbors die--or pretends more guns doesn't mean higher mortality-- turns my stomach. It's hard for me to believe such people don't want to see us killed, since they work so hard to impose policies that ensure that happens.
