28. I've Met This Woman Several Times

Her daughter used to go to the same daycare in Columbus as my son (at least until the allegations surfaced that the Husteds didn't actually live in the County where he was elected, and then they mysteriously disappeared--hmmmmm). She never deigned to speak to me (probably because I was one of the "little folk," and because I had Democratic stickers on my car). But many was the occasion I'd see her come flying into the parking lot (yes, flying into a parking lot where it was extremely likely a small child would be wandering away from a parent, as small children will do), slam on the brakes, jump out of her BMW wearing some hideous fur coat and giant Jackie-O sunglasses, grab her daughter by the arm and practically drag her into the center, dump her unceremoniously into the classroom, and then storm out without speaking to anyone, squealing the tires on her way out.

It made me laugh when you mentioned her "Katharine Harris makeup." That's her to a tee. And her husband isn't much better. He would never speak to me either, and this is a community of parents who pretty much all know each other.
