(13,069 posts)76. I am reminded of the coverage of Kobe Bryant
That woman, who had the courage to come forward was brutalized by the media --and Bryant's defense. Much of the media hid the fact that he had been apparently accused before and focused on the idea that the tests found her boyfriend's sperm as well as Bryant's... as if the idea that having sex with her boyfriend meant that she deserved it.
I believe he got away with rape and is now a hero in the US, while the victim was shoved under a rock.
