(10,269 posts)and I've been thinking that a lot of self-professed "conservatives" around here are actually a lot more liberal than they have been led to believe. I find I have to dig a bit for it, but when it comes down to Brass Tacks actually being made of Brass, they agree with my liberal ass more than they don't. It's the Conservative Media Bubble and the ideas that the local Preachers put into their heads that need excorsing, but once that's done, they see the light. A LOT of what we agree on seems to be a raging hatred of the Corporate Powerbase, BTW. The real Con's (and seemingly, some Dems's even) in America havent figured out yet that the Next Generational Fight isn't about Government vs. The People, it's about The PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT vs. THE CORPORATE STATE.
I don't know about the rest of the country (and there are always die-hard stupids), but around here, after the pounding they got in the last election, the FoxNooze Kool-Aid seems to taste a little off to a lot of them...
