. . . as the republican legislators and candidates work to appeal to these same ignorant people to reap their votes, even as they systematically marginalize their party away from where the majority of Americans reside politically. Like addicts seeking heroin, they know if they stop their destructive campaign, they'll suffer a defeating withdrawal. We are watching the self-implosion of a house of cards. Their majority of bigoted constituents are their own worst political enemies.
