(4,180 posts)we really love it. It does scratch, so you have to be careful when moving furniture around. We don't have young kids or dogs either (only grownups and cats in the house), so it doesn't get the wear and tear a lot of floors get. We did all of the non-wet areas of the house in it, and tile in the bathrooms and kitchen. Really happy with it, easy to maintain, wasn't too difficult to put in, cheap and sustainable. Wins all around. Having no carpet in your house makes you realize how dirty carpet gets!
Another beer can story--my brother and his wife had a painting party at their house one year, and my friend and I were painting some built-in bookshelves that were on either side of the fireplace (a typical late 70s/early 80s sort of fireplace). The shelves went all the way to the ceiling so we painted an empty beer can the same color as the back wall of the shelves and put it at the back of the top shelf. It was there for something like 3 years before they noticed it. Pretty funny to get a phone call from my brother asking "did you put that beer can there?".
