9. Yes, we need clearheaded policies, not scapegoatism and bogeymen

We need to put pressure on Indiana, next door, to strengthen their gun laws; we need stem the flow; we need better state laws (not just in Chicago); we need federal laws on background checks and private sales; we need better and smarter gang intervention measures; we need economic development and jobs. Even then it will be tough.

But I guess it's easier to make a snarky comment about the-guy-who's-responsible-for-everything-that's-wrong-everywhere than to actually focus on real issues.
