pending the outcome of the investigation.

They wasted no time suspending him and putting their statement out. "The allegations are disturbing and are contradictory to our values."

They can't outright fire him based on allegations without putting themselves at legal risk.

Good thing I wasn't there or I'd probably be under arrest for assaulting him.
