In reply to the discussion: AT&T has sent me a warning message... [View all]Cleita
(75,480 posts)26. Good luck. I have been trying to do business with other than AT & T for years, yet
they usually manage to eventually buy out the carriers I'm using and I find myself back with them. I hate throttling. It's why I dumped my former ISP. Maybe a letter to your state and federal reps might help. I have had some success into getting those officials to look into unfair communications practices in my area and they have been fixed. Years ago we couldn't get local broadcast stations with our satellite TV. Yet cable didn't reach out into the boonies where I lived nor did using rabbit ears work. I wrote Barbara Boxer and Lois Capps about this situation and today I have broadcast stations on my satellite.

Luck is not needed. Think of the major cell carrier whose name begins with 'S'

There is no tower for that carrier in the area we generally live, so not an option.

Try Virgin Mobil, unlimited actually means unlimited with them and it's a lot cheaper
