Being terminated by LAPD for filing a false statement likely meant he wouldn't get a decent job anywhere.

If Dorner is telling the truth, LAPD screwed up his entire life.

I DO NOT condone what Dorner is doing, but do somewhat understand what is driving him at this point.

From his perspective: Imagine trying to do the right thing, playing by the rules and then having your life wrecked for doing so.
