not have an ultra sound requirement, though I know from personal experience that Family Planning does use them. They don't hurt, but I can certainly see how it could affect a rape victim (nor do I think states should be governing personal medical choices) - Unless the green is actually for limitations on funds? Hard to tell. If it's for public funds, yes Maine does not allow Mainecare (Medicaid) to pay for an abortion unless it's incest, rape, life of the mother, or deemed medically necessary by a doctor (I don't agree with that either) Not sure what they mean by physician and hospital requirements. Maine requires a licensed physician to perform an abortion. I'm good with that - trying to find the laws on hospital requirements, and I'm going to guess that it has something to do with gestation.
