Middling at best. There are many, many singers with much more talent that she has, but they don't get the exposure due to the crushing inanity and conformity of the music business. Her dancing is likewise middling at best.
Nice she is raising a family while working, something that many single mothers accomplish as well, on far less money than she makes and with far less support than she has.
Lots of performers have had hit songs, so what. Having a hit song doesn't automatically make you a great talent. It simply means you can sell your act real well, and got some breaks along the way.
