(38,437 posts)I am a fan of hers. I don't buy her music, but I don't complain when the kids play it in the car.
Her half time show was ridiculous. It was an electronic mishmosh as the backdrop to a techie, flashy strip club routine. Her first song was just horrible. Were there any lyrics? She wiggled and grunted for a while then dropped to the stage as the camera popped overhead for multi-Beyonce kaleidoscope. "Ladies and gentlemen, the June Taylor Dancers," err... dancer. We then segued into the bump-and-grind, put-your-hand-on-crotch-and-thrust-that-pelvis move that I have paid good money to see in person; the fact that it was free and on network television actually diminished the sleaze and killed the entertainment value of a good strip tease. She limped through All the Single Ladies, in which the sound mixer fell asleep.
Destiny's Child was great.
Beyonce's fault? No. But, good god.
And, no, it had nothing to do with her White House performance.
