then F. Chuck should spend a minute or two checking out what they say about him on wing nut blogs.

I think people like him are actually physically afraid of right wing republicans and their loony "base". He can talk shit about Dems because he knows we won't be making death threats against him or his family, but he's not so sure about those other guys. So he just avoids the subject and lets them pretty much trash him at will.
