This is simply moving a deadline back. It solves nothing. It is time for those same Republicans to vote for a permanent solution to the debt ceiling situation. Congress enables spending. In fact, all bills dealing with taxation and expenditures originate in the House of Representatives. If they pass bills that increase the debt, then they should make the debt ceiling an automatic thing. They create the debt, so they must deal with it.

The Republicans in the House need to make an end of this protection racket they're running with the debt. Make increases in the debt ceiling automatic. Since they create the spending that increases that debt, they are responsible for that debt. Pay up, Republicans!
