Republicans in a number of states are trying to tie allocations of electoral votes to the distribution of election districts, the Congressional District Method. So if the districts are gerrymandered in favor of Republican victories, that means that the electoral votes will be swayed in favor of Republican electors in those states.
Since so many states' legislatures are dominated by Republicans, the Congressional District Method is a danger to fair counting of our votes.
