We are in no position to question his motives.

But despite both roles, the empire has and will largely continued to do what it wished. Personal intentions are not correlated to systematic effects.

In any case, I remain ambivalent. He will probably be no more effective at convincing Fox viewers of his ideas than congress people. All he will do is preach to whatever choir that needs to believe in him.
