(53,661 posts)I confess that early on I used to tell people to fight if out on a thread when on a jury- because i figured that they were having a grudge fight unrelated to the thread, but now see it differently.
Some like to see the troll or disruptor knocked down by other DUers, and sometimes it is a way of learning. But they make some threads useless. Threads only have a short life span, and if they go off track badly, they die off.
I also confess to posting things to make people laugh, probably too much at times. I try to keep the argument light when I have someone who wants that and hope it's not trollish.
A really serious thread, no, I won't do that out of respect to the author, though. I was glad to see emilyg go, but never talked to her. She was always negative, only injected put downs of Obama, etc. to thread. That website said it all.
