13. WITHOUT condoning or agreeing with them or anything they've written, there are some points to be

considered.

Police are not our friends.

They protect the rich, the banks, oppress the poor and homeless. There are some good cops but they are Rare and they sure don't seem to speak out against their egregious co-workers. "Police" is a self-defending gang.

Marching with Occupy against the actual criminals in the country, I've been assaulted by police as have my fellows, who have also been bloodied, falsely arrested, given multiple felonies at police and proscecutor's whim. For 1st Amendment protest against real, actual criminals. I've seen police break multiple laws and then snatch people who were looking the other way, charging them with felonies.

If you stand at an intersection with a bullhorn, flyers, and fellows, no cops whatsoever. March upon a bank and they break out the less-lethal shotguns. You may have seen several photos of this on DU; you may have read my many posts on these issues here on DU, including video of what I describe.

There is a video I've posted here, something on the order of "Arrested for trying to file a police report?" which shows a man approaching several police stations simply asking to file a report. Over and over, he met with resistance ranging from verbal to threat of arrest to one who implied he'd be shot. Not kidding about any of this. Search DU and find it.

Things in the US are NOT going the way of the Constitution. NOT NOT NOT. Sometimes you have to be up close to notice it, because much somehow fails (AHEM) to make it onto the mainstream news (or if it does, it's context shifted to demonize the victim).
