but can't find a link to verify it. Whoever it is it won't be anyone like Krugman but someone Wall Street wants.

Other (unlikely) candidates include Wall Streeters such as Roger Altman, Blackstones Tony James and Blackrocks Larry Fink. Internal candidates include Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin and Undersecretary for International Affairs Lael Brainard. Others previously mentioned include Facebooks Sheryl Sandberg (a former Treasury official) and Googles Eric Schmidt.
