No, it is simply more paranoid thinking from the neo-cons. Are you seriously telling me we should set foreign policy based on the paranoid fever dreams of the likes of the Heritage Foundation and Sheldon Adelson?

And given this,

I would say that Iran is certainly well under control, and frankly presents little threat to the US.

However, reviving the covert insanity of the '80's in Central and South America is a threat to turn an entire continent, one that is right on our doorstep, against us. Is that what you want?
