POTUS second term depends on tomorrow, and to some extent the house. I laugh my ass of at people who say it makes no difference because the GOP runs the house

Ok so lets say a Dem senate passes a slew of good laws the next two years with 51 votes. Only to have the GOP house kill em all ...By contrast lets assume the filibuster remains as is and both houses do NOTHING the next two years . Yeah uh huh. The latter is sure gonna create turnout in '14! And POTUS' second term will be a great success I tell ya!

I suggested replacing Reid as ML right after we won the election and did I ever catch hell on this Purveyor Jan 2013 #1
not too late; they vote tomorrow, don't they? unblock Jan 2013 #3
as long as republicans control the house, the senate filibuster is merely overkill. unblock Jan 2013 #2
Wont it make it harder for the Repuke Senators to hold up Pres Obama's judicial nominees? nm rhett o rick Jan 2013 #21

It's not up to Reid, there are 100 Senators, all with exactly one vote. nt bemildred Jan 2013 #4
