Dec 2012

with just a few theatres in US (NY LA) to get Oscars for this year.
And the odd thing was, Hurt Locker was a major rightwing movie back at that time

As for Argo, the repubs brought up Obama=Carter 1000s of times during the last few years.
The associate of course is a good association to me, as Jimmy Carter is one of the best presidents, far better than the Bush's and Reagan.
But they were trying to incinuate negatives, not positives
And reminding people of the Iran situation then, after the glorious first 2 1/2 years of the Carter admin, that helped not allow him to win back then.(if the helicopters worked, and the plan succeeded it would have led to the opposite outcome).

Knowing the Hollywood system, it is clearly evident that the BinLaden movie succumbed to pressure and changed their date, and that the repubs were having no problem with the other
meaning that was their intent.

And yes, they can speak out as citizens. As a citizen, I don't have to agree with them.
And as I have relatives in Boston(my sister) it is also evident that in Mass, they are not as liberal as one thinks, and they are rather conservative in many ways, with the Kennedy's not now being the candidate for the Senate seat.

the Kennedy's btw John, Bobby, Teddy all gave their entire lives to public service.
JFK Jr. was about to, had he not let his mother delay his ambitions, and was about to get into political office big time when he died. For all we know, he could have been VP in 2008 had he been alive.
Caroline was ambushed by Gov. Patterson who let the rightwing media talk him out of appointing her to the senate seat of Hillary, and had she been senator, who knows at some point she too might have run for President.
As for some of the other family, two members are now in office, and others have been in and out.
I would say not many families can say the same thing. In fact I can only think of one other family with multiple members having done so and they are on the opposite side of the Kennedy's.

BTW-Mike Bloomberg, liberal democrat from Mass (who switched parties to have an opening to win, but that doesn't stop the fact that he is a liberal from Mass), has said he is giving his entire billions to charities and causes- ALL 100% of his charity are liberal issues. ALL of them.
And he is using billions to fight guns in the street, like no one else has ever done.
