When I served in the military we had Friday propaganda that sold us the idea we were fighting to protect and extend a way of life that expanded and protected people's rights.

As a Vet all I can say to such disdain for consideration of conflicting rights is WHAT THE FUCK has FEAR done to this place?

on edit: I seem to remember the President talking about COMMON SENSE, rather than the fearful irrationality that drove the creation and passage of the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. A.C.T. which IIRC was only read from front to back by 1 senator. MY senator at the time: Russ Feingold.
