The Feds are not prepared for this. SecDef ordered the DoD not to invest in making preparations for it. Not sure what other depts were directed to do.

It will produce a lot of uncertainty in the Federal workforce, not just for their own paychecks but for the programs they fund/administer.

Rough times for a while until they get things figured out if it happens and nothing is done in January.
