(7,167 posts)Are there any alternative suppliers for these products? I assume the Georgia-Pacific/Koch Brothers brands are the most widely available at Home Depot and other big box-type stores.
Whenever we think about boycotts, we tend to think in terms of household products--at least I do. But building materials probably represent an even bigger market share for these greedy bastards. What I'm wondering though is COULD a contractor boycott Koch Bros drywall even if he wanted to? What source could he use instead, and where could he find it?
There is going to be a whole lot of drywall needed for Hurricane Sandy rebuilding projects. A whole lot of plywood, and pretty much everything else on that list. It would be true justice if not one square inch of it were made by Koch Bros. But is that even possible?
