that protesters should carry Mexican flags, but should fly American flags. This is because we have a message to the rest of the US, that we are in protest against trump's cruel and unlawful policies.
It isn't that we don't feel solidarity with peaceful immigrants. It's that we all have to be on the same page, and IMO illegals should show solidarity with US. They're living and working in the States, and we are in trouble. There are a lot of stupid Americans who will really think that trump is fighting off a Mexican invasion, and that there is some lawful pretext upon which to base his taking over the Guard. So, I think, give no excuse that can be given to such an unlawful action by trump.
That's just my opinion, of course. A small detail that needs some thought.
