8. States don't pay taxes, individual residents do

The median income of California per household is $85,000 while in Texas it is $ 67,000. Given that California has 8 million more residents than Texas, it shouldn't be a surprise that their residents would pay more in income taxes to the Treasury Dept than Texas does.

No different than Beverly Hills, California paying a lot more in state taxes than Compton does. Should taxes be cut in Beverly Hills and raised in Compton to make it more equitable?
