13. Tourism will be wrecked

We're going to see the effects of Agent Orange's nonsense this summer as Canadians in particular cancel en masse their vacation plans to American ocean communities. Europeans have put out warnings to their own citizens to avoid the United States due to risks of deportation.

During long hot, humid summers, I spent a good portion of my childhood on Brigantine Island, NJ. Even 'back in the day,' Canadians were frequent visitors and summer residents spending money on lodging, restaurants and entertainment. Small, coastal communities will be ravaged economically without their foreign guests.

As one of my aunts who was a full-time resident on the Island always said:

If we don't make it during the summer, we don't make it at all.
