In reply to the discussion: Have any of the "third week" people here gotten their SS deposit yet? [View all]YodaMom2
(84 posts)40. My first SS payment posted over this past weekend as an "early deposit", too.
It had an effective date of 3/18. Yesterday my checking account showed it as an officially posted deposit, and all funds were available. So I used the funds to pay down my credit card, pay my supplemental health care, and put some money in my savings account.
As of this morning, the deposit is back in a pending status with a 3/19 effective date and my checking account is overdrawn. Im not sure if its my bank or the SS Administration. But be careful about when and how you use the funds

OP
My SS check comes on the 3rd of the month, not a Wednesday unless the 3rd is a Wednesday.

My mother is a "fourth Wednesday", and this year that's on her birthday.

Yes, but as of late last night I had managed to convince myself that it wouldn't arrive,

I am also inclined to be a worry wart, and I will have to try to control that tendency

It is based on the day of the week and if it is first, second third or fourth.
