(301 posts)What a sweet soul you are bringing precious comfort to other sweet souls. Everyone needs to hear and see the tragic impacts this reign of cruelty will unleash. I loved having special needs children in my classroom. I always felt (and knew) that they taught us oh so much more than I taught them. So many wonderful experiences; Ill share one: I had put some prisms on a high window ledge in my classroom. That year, I had an autistic child who was mostly non verbal. One morning he jumped out of his chair and shouted, Im dancing in the rainbows! and started spinning through the rainbows the prisms had projected onto the floor. I joined him and asked who else wants to dance with us. The kids all got up and we had a rollicking good time. Without him, think of the joy we would have missed. My heart aches for the fear and worry and hardship this will inflict on so many.
