Jeffries answers the anonymous charges that he's 'angry' at calls to do more [View all]
...charges in an article yesterday claiming Jefrries was pushing back against critical groups like Indivisible and Move On.
Here's the trolling fail in a nutshell, from Axios:
"People are pissed," a senior House Democrat who was at the meeting said of lawmakers' reaction to the calls.
The Democrat said Jeffries himself is "very frustrated" at the groups, who are trying to stir up a more confrontational opposition to Trump.
A Jeffries spokesperson disputed that characterization and noted to Axios that their office regularly engages with dozens of stakeholder groups, including MoveOn and Indivisible, including as recently as Monday
...people need to stop falling for this bullshit, and, most importantly, stop spreading what journos claim are unnamed people speaking out against our party, all without any evidence of its veracity.
Especially clickbait reports which are DENIED by our Democratic legislators and leaders.
I heard a different journo on another show claim that only 'one or two' Democrats have been speaking out- which is a complete falsehood - having obviously not bothered to look at all to see what Democrats are saying and doing.
Dem House Leader Jeffries answered Joy Reid's questions on this today. I thought it was interesting how this tv journo seemed unaware of what the Dem leader has been doing to confront Trump as she questioned him with a critical tone - at one point admonishing him with umbrage to do something he quickly advised her he'd already done.
It was a good illustration of the way people come onto their own Democratic platform and don't bother to post anything Democrats are doing, while at the same time, criticizing the party for not doing enough.
