I’m sure deporting people who produce food and slapping tariffs on countries that we buy massive amounts of food from will lower costs any day now.

Absolutely! Nothing drives down grocery prices faster than fewer workers to harvest crops and higher taxes on imported food. Next up: banning rain to lower water bills and making gas illegal to bring down fuel costs. Genius-level economics!

I can only hope that this blitzkrieg of bullshit will slow down eventually or that the judiciary will throw up some speed bumps. It's overwhelming, and I know that it's meant to be -- it's a psyop to wear the general public down with outrage after outrage so that we become numb to it and normalize it. Then when they stop we're so grateful that we'll praise their wisdom and mercy. It's a classic abusers' tactic in interpersonal relationship -- "yes, he beat me, but he apologized and sent me flowers, so it's all good."
