Today I had over 100 emails. [View all]

From Democrats and Democratic leaning organizations. Oh, do this survey. Do that survey. And PLEASE give us money.

After Trump won the election, Earl spoke of allowing more people on here to talk about what they think the Democrats need to do to recover from this nightmare that is going to be the Trump clown car. The wreckers.

Well I have one. I get DELUGED each day with emails and texts. Oh, we really, really need you to fill out this survey.

Whoops! It's multiple choice and often does not include issues I most care about (healthcare, Social Security, Medicare), and gives me NO opportunity to type any of my own answers in.

Then, they ALWAYS ask for money.

So here's my beef: I'm tired of getting these emails talking about good policy, and soliciting donations from me so they will do the right thing. Why should I have to pay for politicians to do what is right?

This country has gotten so corrupt it isn't even funny. God knows how many billions were spent on the 2024 election, and what do we get? People 'breaking for Trump' because he is perceived as a change candidate and butter was too high. I donated several hundred dollars to various candidates and we got pasted.

And the media? Their fiduciary responsibility is NOT to tell the truth in reporting - nope. Their only responsibility is to generate PROFITS for shareholders. That is fucked up too. Imagine how much PROFIT Comcast and Disney shareholders made off this election. It was a real hog trough for them, let me tell you! A billion dollars just for Harris.

And please don't have the temerity to point out some of that money went to get word out on social media. That didn't work either.

It's time for the Democrats to STOP BEING INSTITUTIONALISTS, take off the gloves and start playing hardball. Get in there and kick these fuckers right between the legs. When Pelosi chose Gerry Connoly, a 74 year old recovering from esophageal cancer instead of AOC for Ways and Means that really pissed me off. I don't give a shit if 'it isn't her turn.' You know what, if we keep taking turns and putting up senior people like we have, we will keep losing elections and America will keep getting screwed.

If we don't start letting these young people like AOC, Crockett and the rest come to the forefront, we will keep losing elections because this demoralizes the base. That is, if we ever are allowed to have any more elections. So guess what? I will donate to AOC and Crockett and other progressives. But people like that guy in PA and both Senators in AZ who are going for that Laken Riley act that will illegally throw immigrants in jail without anything like due process. What the fuck is that??? I'm not giving them a dime for that shit.

They can forget ever getting any money from me ever again.

I'm sorry, but we really need to pull out the stops and GET TOUGH with these jerks. And I'm not going to allow myself to be soaked for donations any more with spurious surveys designed to draw me in so I can give people money. Next time we are in power, if such a thing actually happens, we had better be running better candidates.

Biden did his speech tonight and I couldn't watch. He should never have run in 2024 and should have opened it up for a primary. But no, we had to be cautious, and look what that has gotten us. I'm fucking 66 years old, have $11K in fucking HEALTHCARE DEBT and get nickel and dimed to death at the grocery store. I should be doing better than I ever have financially - yeah I'm still working because I don't know what these billionaire fucks plan with Social Security but I know they want a big juicy tax cut.

Its ironic, isn't it, how the richest guy in the world is telling US we need to TIGHTEN OUR BELTS because WE have been living beyond our means when he's going to pocket billions more because of his fucking tax cut.

I'm feeling pretty hostile, and I'm fucking done donating to middle of the road mediocre candidates. I want fucking Medicare for all Americans, and Social Security to be solvent. We could have done that with all the money that went down the Wall Street rathole in election season. God I'm fucking mad.
