He has already served almost 50 years. No one ever claimed he was totally innocent, but given that his request for clemency has been supported by Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights, the United Nations Working Group on Indigenous Populations, the International Federation for Human Rights, and Amnesty International amongst many others to try to argue he hasn't served a fair sentence for his crimes is ridiculous.
