My cousin is re-registering as a Republican "to avoid detection?" [View all]

I'm not immune to the occasional paranoia and entertaining of somewhat fantastical what if scenarios. But, I feel like some folks are going to some very dystopian places in their minds. I explained to my cousin that Trump will have access to his voting record. So, it's not like Trump won't know that he was a Democrat. His response was that he'd feel "less in the crosshairs" and "less likely to end up on some list." Seriously, WTF is going on here? Am I the naive one or is he the crazy one?
