17. Studio apartment...more like a shack

Hey, I 100% agree with the sentiment, with one comment. My comment below is therefore, an add-on, not a disagreement.

I live in NC and worked in the area known as the "coastal plain". It's a flat hot, steaming, poor flat region that was once one of the richest agricultural regions in the southeast. I did research on stream habitat which meant I traversed the polluted streams and canals of the now depopulated small towns. The immigrants working these fields don't live in studio apartments. They live in lousy over-priced run-down shacks on land laden with pesticide and herbicide residue.
