Should having a felony conviction disqualify? Maybe. However, if you believe (1) it is possible for a person who committed a major crime to find a path to an inspired life -- and I do -- or (2) wrongful convictions happen, you probably don't want to go this route.

As I think about it, you would think that it would be logical for a state that denies felons the right to vote would support such an amendment, but I'm guessing we would see the opposite, with states that deny felons the right to vote being just fine with a felon president.
